Yesterday, a video took over our Facebook and Twitter feeds- a video of a young girl in Ray’s Pizza Parlour in Temple Bar, raving about how her Daddy works for KPMG.
Bodyform respond to man’s complaint!
Some of you may remember our previous article about a man who finally stood up to Bodyform and their unrealistic representation of periods. Well Bodyform, in a bold and hilarious move, have responded with this video! What do you think about this slightly quirky online advertising campaign? Do you think they’ll get more customers from the student population by responding to complaints this way? Image: Still from Video
Christina Aguilera: Is she back?
“All I wanna do is f**k your body. Ooooh oooh oooh oooh. Tonight’s your lucky night, I know you want me. Ooooh oooh oooh oooh.”
Balcony TV: The End Orphans ‘Glam Sham’
The End Orphans – embodying the phrase “Love us, hate us, just don’t ignore us”, these guys are clear-cut embodiments of the glam rock era. Performing on Balcony TV Brisbane, the band are tooled to the hilt with guy liner, long hair, kiss t-shirts and look like extras from that Tom Cruise movie Rock of Ages. This is no bad thing if you’re in the centre of a mosh pit hearing it all from comically oversized amps. Glam Rock was at its heart an over the top thrill, filled with guitar [...]
Usain Bolt’s win: The lego version
Usain Bolt ran to glory last night and solidified his title as fastest man in the world by winning the 100m gold. For those of you who didn’t witness the history, check out the lego version of his win.
How to deal with a Constant Complainer!
We all know the world is imperfect, and luckily for us this is the case. Lucky, because we can give out about the weather 24/7 and learn from our mistakes (here’s hoping). Yet, for the compulsive complainer the world is perfect for everyone but themselves. Right now, if you’re as fortunate as me, you’re sitting listening to streams upon streams of moans. Believe me, you don’t want examples as I’m sure you have a FML cloud floating around you. The funny thing is that these FMLs don’t see any of [...]
10 Worst Tennis Player Tantrums and Tirades
David Nalbandian was probably watching too much of the Euros 2012 the night before his final match against Marin Cilic at the Queens club on Sunday 17th of June. Despite Nalbandian being up a set, he became frustrated as Cilic broke his serve twice in the second set. Unable to control his frustration, he kicked an advertisement board underneath a line judges’ chair. The board hit into the line judges’ leg, causing an inch long cut. As a result, Nalbandian was forced to forfeit the match for unsportsmanlike conduct and [...]
The Week In Music (April 9-15): Feel Good and Wonder
Taking in confounding electronica from Cork, acoustic breathiness from Galway, ear-bursting rock happening in Dublin, the most hyped band from Ireland and festival news, it was a pretty thrilling week in music. The Point of Everything‘s Eoghan O’Sullivan acts as your guide.
Are you ready? 24-hour live DCUTV
DCU shall take over Aer TV.ie tomorrow as they attempt to host a 24 Hour Live Broadcast, at 8pm tomorrow evening. All shows to be aired throughout the marathon have been made by DCU students and will include DCU’s own Apprentice, Babestation and The Late Late Show. Last year the 24-Hour Broadcast raised over €2000, but this year’s team are planning to at least double that figure, all in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital. Throughout the broadcast there will be various ways to donate via text and the internet. Spar on [...]
The Week In Music (March 26-31)
In a week that shows just how diverse the music scene in Ireland is, with so many genres still finding new ways to entice, it was announced that one of the few music publications in the country is being forced into a hiatus, writes Eoghan O’Sullivan, who blogs at The Point Of Everything. Nialler 9 calls them “Ireland’s finest example of a modern trad band”. They’re called The Spook Of The Thirteenth Lock and release their second album, The Brutal Here And Now – the artwork of which is above [...]
