Full disclosure- I spent the majority of my teen years as a Goth/emo/rocker hybrid. I shopped in Stephen’s Green’s mecca for the alternative, Asha, and trawled George’s Arcade for anime-inspired handbags and dayglo nail varnish. I had a My Chemical Romance hoodie; had pink streaks in my hair; and wore way too much eyeliner. It was a tragic time for all involved.
