DCU shall take over Aer TV.ie tomorrow as they attempt to host a 24 Hour Live Broadcast, at 8pm tomorrow evening. Neil Delamere: The Republic Of Hilarious
What is about us Irish that makes us so ridiculously funny? Is it our self-deprecating demeanour? Our seeming lack of shame and embarrassment? Or is it just our love of the craic? If so, then Neil Delamere is probably one of the funniest Irish comedians around at the moment. On Friday March 9th, Delamere had an audience crying with tears of laughter as he brought his ‘Reconstructing’ show to Vicar Street. With a strong supporting act from the equally witty Gearoid Farrelly (he knows how to have the banter), the crowd were well [...]

This time around they’re working with See Change, an organisation that endeavors to reduce the mental health stigma here in Ireland. Bandana? Check. Nerf gun? Check. Bullets? Check. Socks? check. You are now as ready as you will ever be to face the Zombie hoard. A monumental game of Humans versus Zombies kicked off this week in DCU, with close to 200 people joining in on the fun. The game, is basically tag for grown-ups (mature ones obviously) and involves everyone, but one unfortunate, beginning as human. One person is selected as the zombie, then goes around tagging and feasting on as many humans as possible to stay alive. The campus hence has featured [...]

The aim is to achieve 900 contributors, each of which will add one line of text to a [...]
Best From the ‘Net Come Out in Force
Saturday night saw the Mansion House play host to the Irish Web Awards 2011. The ceremony, which was mc’d by RTÉ radio’s Rick O’Shea, welcomed an audience of three hundred who congregated to recognise “people who do great things on the web”. The event was a colourful and informal affair and UV facepaint, bubbles and glow sticks were aplenty on reception for the equally vibrant crowd. Among the nominees for the newly established “Best Student Web or Social Media Project” was Studenty.me, a nationwide site that provides a platform for [...]
