It’s only 10mins so why not give it a listen and let Ian and John’s voices ease you to sleep (little know fact both of their voices can make angles melt like chocolate!). Tonight the lads give a brief run down on the Irish referendum that is set to take place tomorrow [...]

Nandos

Nando’s ad feat. Robert Mugabe leaves bad taste in mouths

Nando’s (the home of the best chicken on the planet) has withdrawn advertising that “featured” Robert Mugabe. The advertisement depicted departed dictators  “having the crack” with Mugabe through a flash back sequence Nando’s South Africa has been subjected to threats against managers, staff and customers. On Tuesday  a militant youth group loyal to Mugabe threatened  a boycott if the advertisement was not removed. It is an offence under Zimbabwe law to insult Mugabe or undermine the authority of his office. Ok I’m not going to lie here. I completely understand why [...]

Sesame Street Sex Scandal (Brought to you today by the letter S)

Sesame Street, the show that defined us all as kids has sadly had its channel removed from YouTube. Was there a bout of domestic violence between Bert and Ernie ? Did the cookie monster lose a foot to diabetes? No it was none of the above, instead of  teaching kids about sharing and the difference between right and wrong, the Sesame Street YouTube channel started teaching them about love making…the rough kind. Hacking seems to have become the norm these days, weather its celeb’s phones or multinational companies that are [...]

Wheelchair Crime

Steals on wheels – Wheelchair crime

Robbers come in all shapes and sizes, some are old, others are young. But have you ever seen one in a wheelchair? I’m going to go out on a limb here (is that a tasteless joke?….na I don’t think so!) and say you haven’t . Well thanks to the wonderous technology that is CCTV we can now see the wheely escapades of Mr. David Knott. David was caught on CCTV stealing a television during the summer riots in London and  has been jailed for a year. David (who had a [...]

Cool Kid

Johnny B’s Guide To Lovin (Men edition)

It may come as a surprise to you, but we here at Studenty aren’t actually specimens of human perfection. We are, in fact, students like yourself, (except me; I’m nearly sure I’m God’s gift to women…if God was to give raw animal magnetism in the shape of a man). And as fellow students, we want to help you out as much as we can. So what are the most important things you think about? Grades? The current economic climate? Global warming? World peace? No… It’s sex, isn’t it? It’s totally [...]

Glowing Cat

Glow In The Dark Cats

When I hear the words “Glow in the Dark” and “Cats”  I instantly picture a new futuristic production of the hit broadway musical. But sadly this isn’t the cat news. Cats are in the news this week because they are forerunners on the fight against HIV or to be more precise FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) Scientists have genetically modified kittens to make them resilient to FIV. It’s the same as HIV in humans only instead of humans it happens to cats (makes sense when you think about it). The kittens are engineered [...]
