Tulisa tops FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women Alive List

Tulisa tops FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women Alive List

It’s May, and that can mean only one thing. No – not the start of summer. Rather it’s the hugely important international extravagant extravaganza that is (insert drum roll here), THE FHM 100 SEXIEST WOMEN ALIVE… This list has been deemed the most comprehensive, complete, thorough and well researched compilation since the Germans compiled a list of their own in the early 1940s. There are some extremely valid candidates vying  for the crown but somehow a chavtastic mouth piece (pardon the pun), is apparently the sexiest woman alive today. Tulisa [...]

The uncomfortably candid diary of a post-surgery patient

The uncomfortably candid diary of a post-surgery patient

Six months ago I was waking up in Cappagh Hospital on Dublin’s north side. Disorientated, in pain and a little unsure as to what exactly had happened, I was whimpering because my brain couldn’t process thoughts to words. The injury, in journalistic terms, was a non-event. I like to tell girls in bars that I was trying to save a puppy who had wandered out onto a busy road, or that I was wrestling bears in Alaska like a beast. The truth is a small chap fell on my knee, [...]

Meet Super Mario

Meet Super Mario

He’s had a lifetime achievement award, two number one singles, a Christmas number one and 11 number one albums. He counts José Mourinho’s children as his biggest fans, he’s sold out theatres across the island and his grandfather fought for the Nazis… Mario Rosenstock, quite simply, is a character. I met Rosenstock in the Today FM studios; he was fresh off a run in Dublin’s Olympia theatre for his latest installment of Gift Grub Live. “It’s going great” he beams, “The new characters are going down well and there’s a [...]

The 12 Pubs of Christmas

The 12 Pubs of Christmas

It’s that time of year again, Christmas FM is on air and Dublin’s streets are lit up like a… well like a Christmas tree I suppose. The assignments for college are finally done and dusted and inevitably you’re going to want a release from those books and let’s face it, any excuse right? The 12 pubs of Christmas is a tradition as old as Christ himself. Legend has it the three wise men hit 12 taverns of Bethlehem on their way to see the newly born Jesus and with that [...]

Oxegen has run out of air

Oxegen has run out of air

The nations most popular music festival will not be taking place in 2012. Justin Green of concert promoters MCD, today confirmed that Oxegen will be taking a year hiatus and return in 2013. Keep Rockin’ in 2012 and we’ll see you in 2013.” The announcement is arguably a worse kept secret than this year’s budget with many music [...]

Tiger Woods wins in Cheveron World Challenge.

Tiger Woods wins in Cheveron World Challenge.

The record major winning Woods, sank the 6 foot putt to cap off a birdie-birdie finish at Sherwood, close to with a 3-under par and beat former Masters Champion Johnson, by one shot. The win ended a drought that lasted 749 days, and might have signaled a change that Woods is on his way back [...]
