Final Twilight film gets new ending

As if the Twi-hards haven’t been through enough this month! Entertainment Weekly revealed that the last Twilight movie will have a brand new ending- completely different to the one in the book.

This twist will come as a shock to dedicated fans of Stephanie Meyer’s books. In the final book, Breaking Dawn, (*SPOILER ALERT*) Edward and Bella fight the evil Volturi to stop them killing their child Renesmée, who they believe to be a danger. In the end, it’s all a bit anti-climactic as the Cullen clan prove that there was another half-vampire half-human child that survived into adulthood, and was no threat whatsoever. Everybody lives happily ever after.

But for Breaking Dawn Part Two, the team involved has taken a different approach. According to the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, both screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg and Stephanie Meyer “dreamed up” an alternative ending over dinner- and this is the ending that will be on the big screen.

Speaking to the magazine, the stars of the film seem happy with the change. Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward, said the new ending does the story “serious justice”, while trampire Kristen Stewart, aka Bella, says, “It’s clearly made by someone who really cares”.

While the new ending makes things a lot more exciting for the final part of the Twilight saga, this change is no doubt going to upset loyal Twi-hards, who treat Meyer’s books as untouchable sacred cows. Either way, Breaking Dawn Part Two is set to be one of the biggest films of the year, and the whole world will be watching as former lovers R-Patz and K-Stew will be forced to join forces for the publicity tour. Will they talk? Will they stand next to each other? Will Kristen Stewart have any facial expressions in the movie? All will be revealed this November.
