Athletes are the epitome of health, so no better place to put the world’s largest Mc Donald’s than in London’s Olympic Park. Right?
The 1,500 seater sustainable restaurant which opened its doors today is expected to sell £3 million worth of fast food during the games. That’s a ridiculous amount of burgers and chips.
The chain opened four restaurants in total with two for the public, one in the Olympic Village and another in the press centre.
Mc Donald’s, who have sponsored the Olympic games for the past 40 years believe that they will serve over 1.75 million meals in just 28 days. Some of which, will be from the new ‘under 400 calorie menu’ designed with the games in mind.
The Big Mac is set to be a tourist attraction in its self as not only has it taken the title of world’s largest restaurant from the Russians but boasts a spectacular view of the park from the first floor balcony.
It will be staffed by Mc Donald’s best UK employees with 200 staff working at any one time.
However, London will not be home to the chains flagship restaurant for long as it will be demolished after the Paralympic games closing ceremony.
All material used in the making of the restaurant will be recycled and the Moscow branch set to reclaim gold once again.
Are you planning a visit to the world’s largest Mc Donald’s?
