Liam Neeson still has those particular set of skills and he’s in luck because he gets to use them again. Taken 2 sees our hero Bryan Mills (Neeson) being sought out for revenge by the men he thought he’d dealt with. Now, after the passing of their comrades in such dramatic style by Mills, Rade Serbedzija’s Murad is on the war path.
All is looking pretty sweet for our gunslinger, he and his wife (Famke Janssen) are on good terms again. But during a visit from her and their daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) in Istanbul, and guess what, his wife gets taken. This time it’s not only up to himself to get her back but also Kim to keep one step ahead of the kidnappers as they try to track her down.
From the trailer, it’s looking exactly what you’d expect from a sequel to such a high octane thriller. Neeson was a surprise action hero in the first, so can Taken 2 reach the expectations set by it’s predecessor?
