Recently, a video has leapt to fame by appearing on Reddit’s video section, attracting viewers from around the world. Uploaded last week, it has over 2,000 views, and shows a cow in an Ennis hardware shop.
Not that this is the first – or will it be the last – time that farm animals come onto commercial properties. A video from 2009 has gained 55,000+ views, showing RTÉ news coverage of a bull in SuperValu in Ballinrobe. This is by no means only an Irish trend. Another clip from YouTube shows a cow walking into an Austrian clothes shop, with similar view statistics as our own in Ennis.
Sure, they were only popping in for a few bits and bobs…
