Studenty.me is unique. We’re going to be the world’s first national online student community.
We’re still at an early stage and we’re recruiting a high calibre leadership team to execute our highly ambitious business plan. We have a website that’s on target to generate in excess of 500,000 visitors this year and has a realistic monetisation strategy ready to execute. Our overall strategy is fast growth and first to market, initially in Ireland, but then quickly into GB and beyond. Within our significant and attractive market niche, we have NO EFFECTIVE COMPETITION – GLOBALLY.
We’re bootstrapping this start-up ourselves for now and we plan to be in a position to offer salaries to key team members next year. We’re just about to engage with potential sources of grants and seed funding. Therefore initial reward will be by share options and our end-game if successful, is to sell all or part of the business within five years. We already have follow-on plans to apply our business model to other complementary, significant market niches, with similarly low levels of competition.
We’re seeking a Web Developer and Web Designer to complete our leadership team. Our current platform is WordPress based, but we’re researching other options including Joomla that are more community oriented. For both roles, we’re seeking a full suite of either development or design skills and experience. Including: prorgamming skills, database skills, web design, security, audio and graphics skills.
Currently this can be a part-time role, however we’re about to start designing and building Studenty 2.0 for launch in late August, so you’ll need to be able to commit to that.
