After the devastating natural disasters that hit Japan in March, one Japanese company has come up with an invention that could potentially save thousands of lives.
“Noah” named after Noah’s Ark is a floating yellow coloured capsule. Some say it looks like a giant tennis ball, I however think it looks like a Pokémon. The capsule is worth 300,000 japanese Yen and it is large enough to fit four people….and the peeps went marching two by two hoorah, hoorah.
Engineering company Cosmo says Noah is made from “enhanced fibreglass and could save users from disasters such as the earthquake and tsunami on the 11th March that devastated Japan’s northern coast and left nearly 20,000 people dead or missing“.
It incorporates a look-out window, breathing holes and a pole in the middle to cling onto when in stormy waters.
The capsule was deemed safe after surviving crash tests.
Noah’s Shelter is a bargain. When it’s not saving lives it can act as a kids play room, heck I’m sure you could have a sneeky roll down a steep hill.
Over 600 orders have already been placed for Noah.
